I got a two-for-one deal today. Two houses with thermostat wire problems. Conveniently located right next door to eachother. Chasing down low voltage issues is kinda fun. Keeps the ole diagnostic skillset honed and tuned. Love my Fieldpiece meter. Most versatile tool in my bag.

i cant believe that this “IDIOT” had to cut a hole that big in the sheetrock to figure out the thermostat wire was broken .What an idiot .

The sad part is that this was done by one of my coworkers. The upside? That rough installer is no longer on our payroll. He didn’t make it through the fine mesh filter when the company was cleansing the employee gene pool.
I can’t believe how stupid some of these installers can be. And they think the homeowner won’t notice when their A/C doesn’t work! And of course there is no accountability for the companies that hire these retards. It’s always good for your reputation when another company has to come in to fix a company’s screw-up.
