My place has two-zone Carrier 13 SEER units and gas furnaces, of which I have videos on YouTube as well.

The unit may be quieter in heat mode, and the snow can also act as a ’sound insulator’ making seem even more quiet.

This unit should be on a rack 18 inches from ground and the fan motor does not work good it should be change to

Heat Pumps are worthless below 46 degrees. She should be using the emergency heat mode…
Heat pumps consume about 2 to 4 amps more in heat mode than cooling mode.
