Dupont's name for R-422D is MO-29. It's an HFC drop in replacement for R-22 in practically all residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This includes DX chill water systems.

Which video did you watch? The system that I converted had R-22. I had to remove all of the R-22 before putting in the R-422D.

There are absolutely NO, I repeat NO drop in replacement refrigerants approved by the EPA.

“While some manufacturers of alternatives may be marketing their products as “drop-ins,” keep in mind that because of the EPA regulations for different service fittings and labeling, there is no such thing as a refrigerant that can literally be dropped in on top of the existing R-12 in the system. “
